Carpal Tunnel & Hand/Wrist Pain
Pain, numbness, or tingling in the hand and wrist can interfere with work, sleep, gripping, typing, and other everyday activities.
Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve is compressed as it passes through the carpal tunnel at the wrist. However, not every case of hand or wrist pain is carpal tunnel syndrome, which makes appropriate evaluation important.
Common Symptoms
- Hand or wrist pain
- Numbness or tingling in the hand or fingers
- Burning or aching sensations
- Symptoms that are more noticeable at night
- Weakness or difficulty gripping
- Discomfort associated with repetitive hand or wrist activity
If hand or wrist symptoms are interfering with work, sleep, or everyday activities, schedule an evaluation at Smithfield Chiropractic to help determine what may be contributing to your symptoms and what treatment options may be appropriate.
