Auto Accident & Work Injury Care in Smithfield

Auto Accident & Work Injury Care in Smithfield

Injuries from an auto accident or workplace incident can affect more than one area of the body and symptoms do not always appear immediately. At Smithfield Chiropractic, we provide evaluation and individualized treatment for musculoskeletal injuries related to motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries.

Our goal is to identify the areas affected by the injury, help restore comfortable movement and function, and provide appropriate clinical documentation throughout your care.

Utah Auto Insurance & PIP

Utah auto insurance policies generally include Personal Injury Protection (PIP), which may provide benefits for medical care following an automobile accident, subject to the terms and available benefits of the applicable policy.

Our office works with patients and auto insurance carriers to help coordinate appropriate billing and clinical documentation for accident-related care.

Because every accident and insurance claim is different, coverage and available benefits are determined by the applicable insurance policy and claim.

  • Repetitive-use injuries

When care is being provided through Workers’ Compensation, our office can coordinate appropriate clinical documentation and billing related to the authorized claim.

  • Treatment may change as you progress from the initial injury through recovery and return to normal activities.

Documentation & Coordination

Auto accident and workplace injury cases often require more documentation than routine chiropractic care.

Our office maintains clinical records documenting your evaluation, symptoms, examination findings, treatment, and progress. When appropriate and authorized, we also communicate necessary clinical information with insurance carriers, claims representatives, and other parties involved in your care.

We cannot guarantee insurance coverage or payment, but our staff can help patients understand the information needed for us to appropriately process their claim.

What to Expect

Your first visit begins with a detailed history of the accident or workplace injury, including how the injury occurred and the symptoms you have experienced since that time.

Your chiropractor will perform an examination to evaluate the affected areas. X-rays or additional diagnostic evaluation may be recommended when clinically appropriate.

After the evaluation, we will discuss our findings and, when appropriate, develop an individualized treatment plan focused on reducing symptoms, restoring movement and function, and helping you safely return to your normal activities.

If your care involves auto insurance or Workers’ Compensation, please provide available claim and insurance information so our staff can determine what additional information may be needed.
